About the opportunity
We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team based in Brisbane.
Your new role will involve
* Manage full‐cycle payroll processing, including new hire onboarding, terminations, and variations.
* Maintain employee records within MicrOpay and support ConNX employee self‐service portal.
* Ensure accurate PAYG, superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) processing and reporting.
* Support HR professionals and Managers onsite by being a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolving issues with discretion and professional judgment.
* Assist with the preparation and lodgement of all statutory reporting requirements, including monthly and annual Payroll Tax returns.
About you
* Experience using MicrOpay, ConNX or similar is desirable.
* Minimum of 3+ years in a dedicated end‐to‐end payroll role.
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong numeracy and problem‐solving skills.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
* Up‐to‐date understanding of ATO regulations, Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards and Superannuation requirements.
* Experience in payroll processing for large, multi‐site organisations including long service leave and workers' compensation across various Australian states.
