Milk Collection Operations Scheduler - 5 on 3 off
As the Milk Collection Operations Scheduler at Booth Transport, you will play a crucial role in managing the efficient scheduling and coordination of our milk collection fleet across the Tasmanian region. This full-time position, operating on a 5 on 3 off roster, is responsible for ensuring milk is collected from dairy farms in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet the needs of our clients.
What you'll be doing
* Developing and maintaining detailed schedules for milk collection routes and drivers
* Tracking and monitoring the performance of the milk collection fleet, making adjustments to schedules as needed
* Optimising collection routes to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
* Liaising with dairy farmers, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless milk collection services
* Providing regular reporting on milk collection activities and key performance metrics
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes
* Assisting with the training and development of milk collection team members
What we're looking for
* Experience in planning or scheduling role, ideally within the transport, logistics or agricultural industries
* Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Proficient in using transportation management and scheduling software
* A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
* A keen eye for detail and a problem‑solving mindset
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
