The Office of the Legislative Assembly is seeking applications from highly capable individuals for casual Hansard editor positions. Hansard editors support the integrity of the parliamentary record by producing accurate and timely transcripts of Assembly proceedings. Successful applicants will demonstrate sound editorial judgement, excellent knowledge of English grammar, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under time constraints. Editing shifts are structured around the Assembly’s established sitting schedule and committee workload, providing staff with daytime work patterns. Eligibility/Other requirements: Previous experience in a Hansard environment is highly desirable. Notes: These positions will be offered on a casual basis and the full-time salary noted above will be paid pro-rata. Casual salary rates are currently between $53.55 to $60.82 per hour plus a 25 percent loading in-lieu of the accrual of leave entitlements and payment for public holidays.
