Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide's most iconic and commercially successful event venues - the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium (CS). AVM is currently seeking a highly talented and motivated Finance/Payroll Officer to join its skilled Finance team, working out of our corporate offices located on the Riverbank at the ACC.
This is a brand new role reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant. You will be required to provide financial and business support to the Finance Department, other AVM Departments and external stakeholders ensuring all financial tasks are completed efficiently and accurately with outstanding customer service.
The position also serves as a back-up role as and when required to prepare payrolls and related records for employee salaries and statutory record keeping purposes - including the weekly processing of the casual payroll and fortnightly processing of the full-time payroll; and the maintenance of accurate and up to date files and database for both permanent and casual staff.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following competencies and personal attributes:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience in processing accurate accounting transactions.
- Previous experience in processing Payroll (end to end - including end of year).
- Exceptional attention to detail, investigative skills and ability to problem solve effectively.
- Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, including a minimum intermediate level of Excel and Word capability.
- CHRIS21 and/or TimeTarget experience desirable but not essential.
- Accounting studies desirable but not essential.
