Reporting directly to the CEO through senior executives, this pivotal role will oversee, evaluate and promote initiatives designed to reduce staff burnout, enhance quality of care and strengthen patient-clinician relationships. You will provide high-level strategic advice to key governance committees and chair the Staff Wellbeing Committee, fostering a culture of care and resilience across CALHN and Statewide Clinical Support Services. This role requires exceptional leadership to build collaborations with local, national and international organisations driving innovation in staff wellbeing. With a strong focus on organisational health, you will design and deliver proactive strategies that support individual and team wellbeing, while shaping work environments that prioritise physical and mental health. Your expertise will be critical in responding to organisational challenges, ensuring CALHN remains a workplace where staff are valued, supported, and equipped to thrive. Key requirements: Qualifications and Registration : MBBS or equivalent with appropriate specialist qualifications, registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. Leadership and Strategic Skills : Proven ability to lead complex change initiatives, implement innovative systems, and integrate wellbeing programs within organisational missions. Interpersonal and Analytical Strengths : High-level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; adept at managing priorities, analysing options, and achieving outcomes in dynamic environments. Expertise and Knowledge : Deep understanding of contemporary healthcare, staff wellbeing challenges, evidence-based interventions, and relevant legislation and standards.
