Nurse Unit Manager Position
At GenesisCare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care. About the Role
We are looking for a talented nurse with at least 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in oncology, who can provide leadership and guidance to our nursing staff. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their carers.
* Lead the nursing staff as an exemplary role model, maintaining high levels of communication and performance development.
* Support the Director of Nursing during leave periods and cover as required.
* Contribute to the implementation of efficient and effective Centre workflow within a multidisciplinary onsite team.
The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with our Centre Leader, Doctors, Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Nursing and Administrative/clerical staff to deliver quality patient care and improve Centre operations.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* Current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
* Clinical experience as a nurse – 3 years nursing with at least 1 year oncology preferred.
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
* Strong commitment to quality patient care.
* Experience in leading a team and managing people effectively to achieve goals.
