ALC operates as an NDIS provider we currently have opportunities for casual support workers across Metro and Regional Victoria. we support many unique individuals with a disability to lead independent lives which will assist engagement within the community and at the same time achieve all their life goals. Our organization delivers high-quality services that enable our participants to live an independent life but at the same time listen to the views of clients and families. Our ultimate goal is to maximize the independence and functional skills of participants to achieve the best quality of life.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
ALC looking for enthusiastic passionate support worker that can be part of a great organization that can assist our participants to achieve their life goals and teach new skills. Come and be part of a great organization that really supports our support workers.
We are currently looking at hiring support workers on a casual basis in Thornhill Park, Victoria
As the newest member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing quality services and safeguards to our participants to promote opportunities for meaningful participation and active inclusion in society. But also building and assisting participants to achieve their goals and become independent so they can live a happy life.
A day in your life as a Disability Support Worker with ALC may see you supporting our participants with,
- Support individuals with disabilities to access and engage in various community activities, such as recreational programs, social events, and cultural experiences.
- Provide one-on-one assistance tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each client.
- Foster positive relationships and open communications with clients, their families, and other support team members.
- Assist with transport and mobility as needed to access community events.
- Encourage and facilitate skill development and social interaction.
- Monitor and document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures and maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:
- Previous experience in disability is preferred
- NDIS Worker Screening Check; Current Police Check, Working with Children Check
- Current driver's license
- Car Registration and insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- NDIS Orientation Module
- NDIS Infection Control Module
- cert 4 in disability or cert 4 in individual support is desirable
- Commitment to providing exceptional support
- Great communication skills
- Medication administrative certificate

Pay: $26.00 - $45.00 per hour
