About the role
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to our growth and success. Working closely with Senior Director of Sales, you will be at the forefront of driving acquisition and maximising opportunities at Sage Hotel Wollongong. Your role involves crafting and implementing strategic sales plans, identifying new business ventures, and nurturing key relationships to ensure revenue growth across Corporate & MICE Segments.
What You'll Do:
* Achieving sales revenue targets for Sage Hotel Wollongong
* Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
* Establishing and maintaining contact with industry representatives and tourism bodies
* Maintaining effective communication with the portfolio sales and hotel teams including the delivery of market intelligence
* Sell all facets of the Hotel; including Rooms, function spaces and other incremental revenue
* Grow existing business and develop sales opportunities to develop new business
* Build profile within designated marketplace through attendance at various events
* Meet sales conversion targets and refer to appropriate personnel for further actioning
* Host and conduct familiarisations and site inspections for prospective and existing clientele
* Monitor competitive set and communicate tactical changes
* Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to successfully explain and sell services and facilities to guests
* Entertain prospects and existing key accounts
What You Bring to the Table:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality Management is an advantage
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* In-depth knowledge of hotel systems and revenue management
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and lead others
* Flexible and adaptable work approach.
