**Your key responsibilities include**:
- Provide leadership and management in the coordination of the activities relating to executive pays to achieve the efficient delivery of payroll services to clients in accordance with established client service standards.
- Provide advice and support to the Human Resources Branch and Ethical Standards Unit, Department of Health to assist with the management of issues relating to executive employment, which are often of a particularly sensitive or political nature.
- As the key payroll contact for Queensland Health executives, respond to individual queries, provide advice and support relating to executive payroll matters on complex remuneration systems, various employment frameworks, taxation requirements and unique superannuation arrangements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in Payroll Services including new developments, legislation and industry standards, keeping pace within a frequently changing environment whilst delivering quality customer services.
- Strong communication and influencing skills as the role will lead discussions in relation to executive payroll matters requiring strong negotiating skills to lead contentious and highly confidential matters.

- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a relationship-based culture with a customer service team, involving active and regular engagement focussed on success.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume environment, manage conflicting priorities and completing tasks to deadline
- Knowledge or demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge of and to provide accurate advice in relation to Payroll Services in accordance with relevant legislation, Directives, awards, policies and procedures.
- Possession of advanced communication and written, negotiation, consultative, interpersonal, problem solving and strategic management skills in an environment of organisational change and evolution.
