About the role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Support Officer – Community Programs to join our team. This role is critical as provides administrative support to existing community programs in Townsville.
Working as part of close-knit team, this role ensures our programs are supported to run effectively and efficiently, allowing our teams to focus on delivering much needed services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
· Workflow coordination, including monitoring daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery.
· Administrative support to community programs, including managing data entry, record-keeping and documentation for internal teams.
· Providing day-to-day administrative assistance to fleet vehicles, including maintaining maintenance schedules and registration records.
· Providing office coordination, including maintaining office supplies.
· Working with the Business Operations Team to monitor a shared inbox.
· Processing transactions on behalf of Townsville’s Community Programs, including liaising with vendors in relation to payments.
· Liaise with Red Cross National teams for maintaining asset records and submitting requests on behalf of Townsville’s Community Programs .
· Answering national support line, and triaging calls.
· Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Key Behavioural and Technical Capabilities
· Proven highly developed organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple, competing tasks.
· Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
· Ability to handle sensitive and private information and maintain privacy.
· Demonstrated attention to detail.
· Demonstrated administration experience, providing support to a large team
· Solid skills in data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining documentation
· Understanding of transaction processing, experience highly desirable
· Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
· A current Working With Children’s Check (blue card), or willingness to obtain
Experience
· 3-5 Years experience in a similar role or transferable skills

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 3. Salary from $76,372.40 + superannuation + salary packaging.
