We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team as a Pharmacy Trainer & Assessor.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Trainer & Assessor with Gateway, you will play a key role in inspiring and developing the next generation of pharmacy assistants. You will:
- Deliver face-to-face and virtual classes for the SIR30116 Certificate III in Community Pharmacy.
- Deliver online training for the SIR40116 Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy.
- Provide workplace assessments and support learners in their host pharmacy or employed pharmacy.
- Work closely with the pharmacy team and client partners to deliver training that is both compliant and outcome focused.
This is a full-time, permanent role, offering the opportunity to connect, engage, and motivate students while delivering high-quality, compliant training with your own unique approach. We encourage Pharmacy Assistants to apply regardless of whether you hold a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
Upskilling may be offered to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, flexible, and structured training sessions using Gateway's Learning Management System.
- Conduct assessments, workplace observations, and learner mentoring.
- Track face-to-face and virtual student progress and provide ongoing support, tailored to learner needs and abilities.
- Complete administrative tasks to maintain compliance and accurate documentation.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training materials and processes.
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about training and the Community Pharmacy industry.
- At least 3-5 years of industry experience in Community Pharmacy.
- Experience in a management role – Retail Manager, Dispensary Manager, Supervisor, etc.
- Strong communicator who can connect with learners at all levels, including those from diverse backgrounds and/or lower levels of formal schooling.
- Holder of a SIR30116 Certificate III in Community Pharmacy and/or SIR40116 Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy (desirable).
- Holder of a current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent) (desirable).
- Able to provide (or willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working With Children Check.
- Eligible to work in Australia with current Australian work rights.
