Open to traffic in 2031, it offers career stability, progression, and development opportunities.The RoleThe Spoil Site Engineer oversees and manages excavation, handling, and disposal of spoil on site. This role requires technical expertise, on-site management skills, and a strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.Roles and ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, standards, and risk management processes.Input information and undertake minor design modifications on site to facilitate construction.Resolve engineering issues related to construction methods, design, and procedures.Demonstrate financial management skills, including cost reduction and budget adherence.Verify subcontractor claims and variations.Manage costs, quality documentation, and site performance reporting.Manage teams and subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of work lots.Assist with site administration, cost tracking, and forecasting as directed.About YouTertiary qualifications in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.Experience in construction site operations, preferably in roads, tunnels, or bridges, with spoil management experience being highly desirable.Knowledge of environmental regulations and waste management practices.Experience with major civil infrastructure projects.Strong commercial acumen, including cost management.Understanding of HSEQ systems and compliance.High computer literacy.We OfferWe are committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing long-term career development through ongoing training.
