Our client has a Brisbane head office and is wholly owned by one of the world's leading contractor and construction companies. Locally they have significant expertise in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and delivery first class solutions to clients globally.
With a people orientated work culture and Work from home on offer, a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Manager has become available. The role will oversee a team of 7 and be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the payroll team across various sites.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
- Ensure payroll runs are completed and approved on time with no errors in accordance with the relevant industrial instruments for Australian & international payrolls.
- Interpretations of awards and enterprise agreements across different sites
- Ensure the calculation, remittance and reconciliation of all payments for payroll on costs (including superannuation, payroll tax, group tax) and staff deductions are completed on time
- Process termination payments as required in accordance with relevant industrial instruments and company policy
- Manage reconciliation processes so that accurate data is posted to Finance
- Maintain payroll system training material and procedural documentation so always current and available
- Manage the relationship and associated activities with our salary packaging provider
- Provide payroll reports to business units as required Business Support
- Handle customer queries in a timely fashion in accordance with SLA's
- Provide system support to users on timesheet entry / ESS / MSS when required
- Drive efficiency through continuous process improvement
**About YOU**
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing all aspects of payroll and leading a successful payroll team.
- Experience working with SAP payroll module and ADP and present with solid Excel skills
- You have extensive knowledge around legislation and awards
- You are able to influence and engage key stakeholders whilst maintaining a collaborative culture.
