Leadership Opportunity
A senior role is available at a secondary school to support the pastoral and academic needs of students in their final years.
This position requires effective leadership skills to link these needs, monitor student progress closely and ensure all students meet our graduate expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic guidance on faith-based initiatives, ensuring they align with the college's mission.
* Support learning and teaching by promoting high-quality educational outcomes.
* Develop staff and foster a culture of leadership and professional growth.
* Collaborate with the Principal to manage the school effectively.
* Engage with the community to build positive relationships and partnerships.
* Drive innovation and improvement, leading strategic leadership and vision.
Requirements
* Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Church.
* Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.
* Professional qualifications in Education (Bachelor of Education, Master of Education preferred) and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
* Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership, administrative ability, and interpersonal relationships.
* Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, knowledge of contemporary educational issues, and written and verbal communication skills of a high order.
* Commitment to the Pastoral Care of members of the school community, building community through facilitation, delegation, and consultation.
* Minimum of 5 years classroom experience, involvement in professional associations, and capacity for leadership within a school.
* Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers, criminal history and bankruptcy check, and current drivers licence.
* A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Catholic Education.
