GEM Switchboards is growing — and we're looking for a hands-on Production Manager to lead our workshop operations and drive performance in a quick-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.

The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take responsibility for workshop performance, including:
* Leading day-to-day production and workshop operations
* Planning and allocating projects and resources
* Driving productivity, continuous improvement and efficiencies
* Ensuring quality standards and on-time delivery
* Managing safety, compliance, and workshop systems
* Coaching and developing tradespeople and apprentices
* Monitoring workflow, labour utilisation and performance metrics
About You
You're a proven leader from a switchboard, switchgear, or electrical manufacturing environment, ready to step into a role with more ownership and impact:
* Electrical Fitter (or similar trade background)
* Extensive experience in switchboard manufacturing
* Strong leadership and team development capability
* Expertise in production planning and workshop operations
* Passion for continuous improvement, quality, and safety
* Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
