Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned cost control leader to oversee and enhance cost management practices across a diverse portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial transparency, governance, and strategic insights that support informed decision‑making.

- Lead and develop a high‑performing cost control team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive consistent and transparent cost control processes across all projects and programmes.
- Strengthen governance and contract oversight through risk reflection and financial alignment.
- Champion digital transformation by implementing scalable tools and ensuring data integrity.
- Provide strategic cost insights and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Support portfolio‑level change management and maintain alignment across controls disciplines.
- Promote continuous improvement through process refinement and automation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance reporting and cost modelling capabilities.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

- Proven experience in leading cost control functions within large‑scale portfolios or infrastructure programmes.
- Deep understanding of cost management practices including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Solid capability in contract management, risk reflection, and financial governance.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as PPM systems, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex cost data and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience in driving process improvement, automation, and standardisation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to coach and develop team members to build commercial and technical capability.
