Business Development Manager Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and implement strategies to drive sales of locally domiciled SPDR ETFs, unlisted managed funds, and the State Street ETF model portfolios across our key client segments. Your mission would be to work closely with our local marketing and strategy teams to maximise our efforts.
In this context, you will partner with our local marketing team to create effective sales campaigns and dynamically involve clients on major initiatives while promoting excellent teamwork and culture at all times.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining a book of business with key clients, identifying and anticipating client requirements, expectations, and needs, and clearly communicating investment ideas and research to clients and prospects.
We are looking for a skilled Business Development Manager who can provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues based on past experiences, a global perspective, and well-articulated facts and reasoning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, advanced client relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation including SAA and TAA.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategies to drive sales of locally domiciled ETFs, unlisted managed funds, and the State Street ETF model portfolios.
* Build and maintain a book of business with key clients.
* Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations, and needs.
* Cross-sell and up-sell relevant products to existing clients.
* Execute sales campaigns and dynamically involve clients on major initiatives.
* Partner closely with the Product Team to provide input into new product ideas/product enhancements.
* Remain abreast of industry and product trends (including competitive analysis) to ensure SSGA and SPDR is strongly positioned in the Australian market.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong sales track record and advanced client relationship management skills.
* Deep understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation including SAA and TAA.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Able to build positive relationships with internal and external clients.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
