Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Testing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing water and soil samples using state-of-the-art technologies and innovative methodologies. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work instructions.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyze water and soil samples
* Ensure preparation and analytical work is conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work
* Organise designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies
* Complete tasks within assigned timeframes and to the relevant analysis standard
* Operate sample preparation equipment
* Undertake consumable stocktakes and housekeeping for tasks performed
* Participate in cross-training to accommodate variable workflow and staff on leave
Requirements:
* TAFE or University qualifications are required
* Attention to detail, self-management, and organisational skills
* Sound judgment and an effective problem-solving approach
* Excellent written and interpersonal communications
* Ability to work well independently or collaboratively in a team
* Dedication to good laboratory practices with regard to quality of results and health and safety
* Flexibility to work public holidays, afternoon, and weekend shifts
