Alpheus, a key part of the Anglian Water Group, is looking for a dedicated Domestic Waste Technician to help manage the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across our Water Recycling Centres.
As the face of Alpheus, you'll travel across the Anglian Water region, ensuring domestic waste is handled efficiently, safely, and in line with environmental regulations. You'll work closely with customers, tanker drivers, and site teams, playing a vital role in protecting our water recycling network and delivering excellent service.

What you'll be doing:
- Oversee daily operations at domestic waste import sites
- Conduct site and equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Promote and uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Sample and assess waste for compliance and report any irregularities
- Provide professional, friendly support to customers and site teams
What does it take to be successful?
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Be based around Bury St Edmunds/ Ipswich area
- Flexible approach to working hours to cover core business hours
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working outdoors and in operational environments
- Knowledge of wastewater regulations and the sewage industry (desirable)
