Innovation & Growth Director AustraliaReporting to the Managing Director Australia, the Director of Expert Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing and overseeing Automation, Lab design, LEAN, Data Analytics, Innovation solutions, and R&D for the business. This individual will effectively partner across functions, locally, regionally, and globally to align expert services strategies with company goals to drive growth and profitability.Main responsibilities:Industrial Performance:Establish the department’s objectives, policies, and programs within the context of the overall company strategic plan, and where appropriate, recommend standards and set targets.Manage the preparation of the department’s budgets, forecasts, and reports, ensuring they are presented to the business in a timely manner.Appraise the activities of the department according to overall strategies and objectives. Monitor and evaluate business unit performance, productivity, costs, and procedures.Implement process improvements (LEAN) to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.Prepare, implement, and maintain Data Analytics for Key Performance measures to enhance business control, departmental strategies, plans, and budgets in accordance with business guidelines.Develop initiatives to improve EBIT via automation, innovation, R&D, and method alignment across the global network (including rationalisation).Manage Laboratory facilities design, planning, and build across the Australian footprint.Customer Partnerships:Establish meaningful connections with Partners, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), and essential customers.Develop and implement initiatives to improve the delivery or quality of our service.Foster engagement with Key Customers and implement strategies to continually improve relationships with these customers.Team Management:Manage the selection, training, and development of staff. Establish lines of control and delegate responsibilities to staff.Act as a curator and developer of internal and external talent to support succession planning.Foster cross-function relationships between senior staff.YOUR PROFILEAt least 10-15 years’ experience in a commercial production environment or science technical environment.Experience developing strategic and business plans and budgets, and controlling budgets.Experience leading and developing a team, actively promoting the company values and code of conduct.High-level business and report writing skills, with experience in Board-level presentations and public speaking.Focused on providing quality service.Possesses and demonstrates vision, strategic thinking, and leadership; displays considered and informed decision-making practices.Accountability – focused on achieving results.To apply, please click on the 'Apply now' button.
