Rides Mechanical Tradesperson – Wet'n'Wild $47.51 per hour | Full Time Wet'n'Wild, Oxenford, Gold Coast
The Opportunity

Wet'n'Wild is looking for a passionate and skillful tradesperson to join our engineering trades team, performing routine safety checks, preventative maintenance, plant overhauls and general site maintenance at Australia's biggest and best waterpark. You will work on iconic attractions and collaborate with other departments to create lasting memories.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake park pre‐opening safety checks.
* Respond to breakdowns on various equipment and participate in rebuilds and repairs of property within set timeframes.
* Assist in maintaining attractions, ride buildings and water quality infrastructure.
* Ensure safety by adhering to OHS procedures, including obtaining equipment licences and completing required training.
* Suggest improvements in work procedures to increase efficiency within the department.
* Complete daily tasks as instructed by the Engineering Supervisor and Leading Hands.
* Shift times range from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, including 5:00 am–3:00 pm and 9:00 am–6:00 pm; rosters may change for business requirements.
What We're Looking For
* A minimum Engineering Cert III Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
* Physical fitness to climb ladders and stairs, and ability to work at heights up to 30 m.
* Welding or previous filtration plant maintenance experience is highly regarded.
* Current EWP licence or willingness to obtain one.
* Manual driver's licence is desirable.
* Ability to work any day (including early mornings and weekends) to suit a rotating roster.
