We are seeking a highly motivated Surveyor specialising in drone-based data acquisition to join our expanding geospatial team. This role offers the opportunity to operate cutting-edge UAV technology and work across diverse projects in mining, civil construction, engineering, environmental and land development.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, execute and manage UAV survey missions using multirotor and/or fixed-wing platforms.
* Conduct LiDAR, photogrammetry, GNSS and ground control capture to project specifications.
* Process and analyse datasets to produce high-accuracy deliverables (e.g., point clouds, orthomosaics, DSM/DTM, volumetrics).
* Maintain UAV fleet, flight logs, and safety documentation.
* Collaborate with project managers and clients to define survey scope and outputs.
* Ensure survey outputs meet relevant industry and regulatory standards.
* Undertake regular overnight travel to remote sites and interstate locations as required by project demands.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* 2–3+ years experience in surveying with a large use of UAV platforms.
* REPL 25kg and experience working under a ReOC.
* Bachelor's in Surveying / Mining Surveying, or Advanced Diploma in Surveying .
* Strong knowledge of LiDAR and photogrammetric capture techniques .
* Experience with GNSS network corrections (RTK / PPK) .
* A detailed understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, datums and transformations (e.g., GDA2020, MGA, WGS84).
* Manual Driver's License
* Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred but Not Essential
* Experience with Oasis montaj, Global Mapper, QGIS, Civil 3D, 12D or BricsCAD .
* Understanding of mining and engineering tolerances, conformance, and reporting.
* Knowledge of safety management, risk assessment & JSA documentation .
* Ability to communicate technical results clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
