About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team at Bull Build Australia. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects e.g. (Government & Strata), providing accurate and reliable cost estimates to support our growth and expansion. This full-time role is based in our Yatala, Queensland office.
What you'll bring
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
* Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and analyse relevant data to create comprehensive estimates
* Identify potential cost savings and opportunities for optimisation within the estimating process
* Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals, providing expert advice and support
* Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data, industry benchmarks, and pricing information
* Mentor and train junior estimating staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction estimating
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction industry
* Proficient in the use of estimating software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and specialized construction estimating software
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
* Proven track record of delivering accurate and reliable cost estimates that support project success
