About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position working 38 hours per week in a Council precinct.
The role oversees and performs daily operational landscaping, mowing, cleaning, and playground maintenance activities at various locations.
It serves as a point of contact for public inquiries and supervises staff and contractors within the precinct.
* Coordinate day-to-day operations in the precinct.
* Provide supervision and direction to staff and contractors performing grounds maintenance, cleaning, and camping management tasks.
* Liaise closely with relevant stakeholders.
* Coordinate and supervise staff, labor, subcontractors, plant, and materials for grounds and general maintenance tasks.
* Undertake safe operation of plant and/or specialist equipment using advanced skills to deliver outcomes with high accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Coordination:
* Plan and coordinate day-to-day operations in the precinct.
* Ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Staff Supervision:
* Provide guidance and support to staff members.
* Develop their skills and capabilities.
Camping Management:
* Oversee and manage camping facilities and activities.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Hold a relevant trade qualification (Certificate III or above) in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related fields.
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated experience in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements:
* Current National WHS Construction Card.
* MR licence.
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
