About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth across Western Australia and South Australia within our broker channel.
Based in Perth and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on building relationships, driving sales activity, and delivering exceptional service to brokers.
You'll represent the Alex Bank brand in-market — strengthening existing partnerships, onboarding new brokers, and working closely with our internal sales and operations teams to deliver a seamless experience from introduction to settlement.

What You'll Do
• Drive and grow sales across our secured car loan and personal lending broker network in WA and SA.
• Build, nurture, and expand relationships with brokers, aggregators, and affiliate partners.
• Represent Alex Bank through face-to-face meetings, training sessions, webinars, and industry events.
• Educate and support brokers on our products, systems, and policies to improve conversion.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with national growth targets.
• Work collaboratively with internal BDMs and support teams to deliver an outstanding broker and customer experience.
• Identify and address challenges or performance gaps to enhance channel success.

What You'll Bring
• 5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial services.
• A strong existing broker and aggregator network across WA and/or SA (personal lending or asset finance experience highly regarded).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work autonomously across multiple geographies.
• Passion for delivering value and building long-term partnerships.
• Sound understanding of credit processes and lending fundamentals.
