Job Overview
The role requires a skilled professional to build and test silicon modules for the next generation of particle tracking detectors in the ATLAS experiment at CERN.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate hardware required to thermal cycle, test and characterise silicon strip modules for ATLAS ITk.
* Collaborate with a team of staff and students; liaise with international colleagues to ensure high-quality modules are produced.
* Support laboratory needs of physicists and maintain equipment and computers to assist researchers, students and staff.
* Contribute to the coordination and integration of silicon module production within the project.
Requirements
* Experience with laboratory needs in experimental particle physics, electronics, applied physics or related disciplines.
* Experience supporting laboratory needs and maintaining equipment and computers for researchers and staff.
* Experience working with academics.
* Knowledge and experience interfacing and controlling hardware across various computing platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to promote integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to associated behaviour expectations.
