Overview
Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Waste Services to lead operations at our Roxy Downs site. The role involves ownership of commercial and operational performance of a Council contract, leading a site-based team, and being the primary point of contact for key clients in the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating day-to-day operational activities, including customer enquiries, data processing, and administrative support.
* Organising driver daily duties in line with client (Council) requirements and the collection schedule.
* Taking ownership of the commercial performance of the Kerbside Collection and Resource Recovery contracts, tracking delivery against financial targets, KPIs and contractual obligations.
* Identifying risks and opportunities within the contract and providing recommendations to the Contract Manager.
* Ensuring operational data and records are accurate, current and audit-ready across all relevant systems.
* Leading the preparation of monthly performance reports to Council and supporting contract renewal and variation processes in collaboration with the Contract Manager.

Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in a contract management or commercial leadership role.
* Solid operational background with the ability to maintain oversight of site-based service delivery.
* Proven ability to manage and grow senior client relationships with professionalism and confidence.
* Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Google Suite.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data.
* Competent computer skills.
* A genuine commitment to safety and a positive, can-do attitude.
Additional Candidate Requirements
Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a full pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening, as well as a National Police Clearance.
