Project Governance Specialist

We have a Project Manager role focused on Capability Governance & Controls within the Network domain.
This position targets experienced professionals in managing new Network capability introductions and understanding Transit (FTTP/DWDM) technology.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Network Capacity & Performance, Network Engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective governance of key Transit Capability readiness projects.
Responsibilities:
* Establish robust governance reporting for strong monitoring and controls across Capability readiness and cross-business enablement.
* Engage with and review progress of capability readiness, determining potential impacts due to time/cost/quality and ensuring communication of impacts to business cases, planning, systems, tools, deploy-ability, and operational readiness/constraints.
* End-to-end Workstream Management – developing, leading, and overseeing delivery of capabilities supporting specific Transit workstream roadmaps and business objectives, inputting into decision-making and strategy development.
* Influence and collaborate with Senior and Executive-level Management.
* Work closely with various individuals and teams to establish a clear end-to-end view of cross-functional processes, deliver new/improved operational processes, and establish interlocks between relevant business units requiring input into capability delivery.
* Drive Process/System/Tool development to support End-to-End scale trigger to deployment.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
* Telco Experience (Essential)
* Experience in Transit FTTP/DWDM technology (Essential)
* Experience managing & governing introduction of new Network capability into deployment (Essential)
* 5-7+ years' experience in Project/Program Management
* Recognised certification as a Project Manager (e.g., Prince2; PMBOK; or equivalent)
* Working knowledge of Agile methodology (certification not required)
* Deep understanding of project concepts & principles, products, and tools, with significant experience in managing complex business projects or business improvement projects for large service providers, utilities, and government customers ideally in the telecommunications sector.
* Experienced in process reengineering/business improvement/change management; able to analyse complex problems and come up with innovative and appropriate solutions.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in product development lifecycle and processes
* Previous experience working with project management tools and the translation of project plans to formats suitable for communication e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, Miro boards etc
* Ability to effectively present to senior management to provide an end-to-end view of project status, issues, and plans to resolve and mitigate.
