Aerospace Project Manager
About This Role
The role of Project Manager plays a pivotal part in leading and delivering projects related to defence, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, compliance with Defence standards, and effective stakeholder engagement.
This involves managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with Commonwealth and Defence stakeholders, and overseeing project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead aerospace projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
* Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers in accordance with Defence frameworks (e.g., ASDEFCON, GATE Reviews).
* Prepare and present project documentation including business cases, status reports, and milestone reviews.
* Manage contract deliverables and ensure adherence to Defence procurement and governance processes.
* Facilitate stakeholder engagement across Defence, industry partners, and government agencies.
* Ensure compliance with Defence security, safety, and quality standards.
* Support integration of capability into operational environments, including training, logistics, and sustainment planning.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or business.
* Proven experience in Defence project management, ideally within CASG.
* Strong understanding of Defence acquisition processes, ASDEFCON documentation, and capability lifecycle.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities and limited resources.
* Hold a minimum NV1 clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
