The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint an experienced Director to lead its innovative communications and media service and high-performing team.
You will raise the profile of our key initiatives, investments and programs, ensuring our stakeholders receive the right messages, through the right channels, at the right time. Our team of communications professionals are passionate about telling the stories that bring the department's work to life and using best-practice communications to support the Victorian community.
The core functions of the Strategic Communications branch are the delivery of media pipelines, communications strategy and issues management, as well as corporate communications support for DJSIR inclusive of internal, corporate and emergency communications.
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will deliver strategic communications, with a focus on building a prosperous future for our state and its people, our businesses and industries, and our communities and regions.
If you are an experienced, senior communications and media leader ready for your next big challenge, you'll enjoy providing high-level, expert strategic advice in this highly sensitive and complex communications environment.
Your motivation, backed by a record of achievement in contemporary communications and media techniques, will further the business objectives of this team and meet the communication needs of the department's stakeholders in a whole-of-Victorian Government context.
