About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with demonstrated experience in civil construction and government-facing project delivery. The successful candidate will manage site teams, contracts, financial performance, stakeholder relationships and project outcomes from commencement through handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of major civil infrastructure projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from planning through to completion.
* Manage project schedules, cost plans and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with council, TfNSW and contractual standards.
* Provide strong, proactive leadership to project teams, establishing clear performance expectations and reinforcing accountability.
* Support and develop site engineers and supervisors through mentoring, technical guidance and structured capability development.
* Maintain effective communication with TfNSW, councils, consultants, subcontractors and local stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and positive project outcomes.
* Forecast and manage project risks, applying preventative and corrective controls to maintain timelines and financial objectives.
* Uphold WHS, environmental and quality standards across all stages of delivery.
Skills And Experience
* Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil construction.
* Minimum 4-5 years civil construction industry experience.
* Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to influence, motivate and build capability within teams.
* Solid experience in project planning, cost tracking and risk management.
* Strong communication and stakeholder coordination ability, with confidence in managing technical and operational discussions.
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry credentials.
* Familiarity with NSW council infrastructure delivery and government funded works is highly advantageous.
* Valid Australian driver licence
