About Diesel Engine Rebuilding
Our workshop delivers high-quality diesel engine rebuilding services, specializing in the rebuild and overhaul of heavy diesel engines.
This hands-on position involves complete strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and review of test results for Caterpillar C Series, 3400/3500 series engines, Cummins QSK, Detroit, or similar engines.
Working within a dedicated rebuild team, you will ensure components are rebuilt to OEM standards, delivering quality and reliability for customers in the mining, construction, and transport sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strip, clean, inspect, and rebuild diesel engines to specification.
* Assess engine condition prior to rebuild and ensure required parts and reclamation are identified.
* Operate with a high focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Use precision measuring tools and follow OEM technical data.
* Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet turnaround targets.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in rebuild processes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience rebuilding heavy diesel engines.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent) preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.
