About the Role
We are looking for a passionate professional who can lead the Junior School to ensure that our students are given every opportunity through equity and excellence to achieve their individual goals. The successful person will be able to work as part of an extensive leadership team to contribute to the successful attainment of Marsden State High Schools explicit improvement agenda.
**As the Head of School, your key responsibilities will include**:
- Leadership of the curriculum of this department to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to successfully achieve.
- Leading the support structures of the Junior School to ensure that each student is known and catered for.
- Leading the Junior School (Years 7 -9) to articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Identifying and implementing practices that focus on continually improving services and student outcomes.
- Using the outcomes of evaluations including the feedback of staff, students, and other stakeholders, lead the continuous improvement of Marsden State High School
- Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively encourage and participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
- Forming partnerships with students, parents, other relevant industry and community groups.
