About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with individuals and families affected by alcohol or other drug issues. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions to support recovery and strengthen relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting comprehensive client assessments and intakes using standardised tools.
* Developing and delivering tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and readiness for change.
* Providing evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions, including motivational interviewing, CBT, and brief interventions.
* Facilitating family and group therapy sessions to support recovery and strengthen relationships.
* Collaborating with community, public-sector, and health service providers to coordinate client care.
Requirements:
* You should have qualifications in the health, social or behavioural science field and/or extensive AOD training with a minimum Diploma in Alcohol & Drugs.
* Experience working with individuals and families affected by alcohol or other drug issues, experience working with clients with dual diagnosis or complex needs, understanding of harm minimisation principles and evidence-based interventions, strong knowledge of community resources, treatment services, and referral networks are required.
