We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Analyst to join a top Group Development team. In this role, you will provide quality advice, research, and analytical insights to senior stakeholders, assisting in the execution of acquisitions and divestments while preparing presentations and communications to influence decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Group Development team members on acquisitions, divestments, strategic projects, and performance improvement initiatives. Support the transaction lead in M&A projects, with opportunities to lead specific workstreams, including: Drafting and assisting in external documents, such as marketing materials or transaction documents. Engaging with relevant business divisions or support functions, external advisers, and parties. Drafting and assisting with internal approval documents and processes. Providing general project management support to senior team members. Conduct analytical activities, including data gathering, strategic analysis, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making, such as: Designing and building valuation and financial models. Evaluating strategic options and fit of potential acquisition targets. Setting the scope and managing due diligence processes. Supporting strategic planning and investment processes. Conducting strategic reviews of major business units and assessing growth opportunities. Develop clear and compelling business presentations or reports for senior executive audiences, including the Executive Leadership Team, CEO, and Board. Proactively develop an understanding of the financial services industry, monitoring market trends and developments. To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience in delivering on expectations, taking accountability, and reliably meeting commitments. Strong financial and analytical skills. Experience in transaction execution. Financial modelling skills, including the ability to construct three-statement financial models. Corporate finance knowledge and skills, including valuation and other relevant financial analysis. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity, and maintaining composure under pressure. Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, and communication skills with a proven track record of engaging and collaborating with team members, wider bank stakeholders, business sponsors, partners, and third parties. A strong strategic focus and the ability to communicate with influence. The ability to lead group discussions in a workshop environment and build consensus on agreed priorities. A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, corporate development, investment banking, top-tier chartered accounting firms, or leading consulting firms. Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, commerce, or a quantitative discipline. Post-graduate designations (CFA, CA, SIA, MBA) are desirable but not essential. Apply now if this sounds like you
