About the Opportunity
IMPACT Community Services is proud to deliver the HERE (Hope Empower Resilient Enable) program. Funded by Queensland Health, this initiative provides vital early intervention and non-clinical psychosocial mental health supports. The program aligns with our core vision of Improving Lives by empowering young people up to 18 years of age who are at risk of disconnecting due to mental health conditions.
We are seeking a passionate Youth Worker to join our team in Bundaberg. In this role, you will provide one on one mentoring, facilitate empowering group activities, and collaborate with community stakeholders like schools and GPs to deliver holistic support across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service catchment. This is a part time, fixed term position until 30 June 2026, and includes travel within the Bundaberg area using a company vehicle.

About You
You are a compassionate professional with a genuine drive to support the wellbeing of young people. You are the right fit for this role if you:
* Have demonstrated experience working with youth, particularly those facing significant life challenges.
* Possess a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health, or an equivalent qualification.
* Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and advocate for young people and their families.
* Are a collaborative team player capable of working with external partners such as General Practitioners and schools.
* Hold a current driver's licence and have a working knowledge of relevant community resources and legislation.
* Are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children as part of our status as a Child Safe Organisation.
