Job Responsibilities:
* Dish Development: Assist in developing and updating the menu, including seasonal changes and creating new dishes based on customer feedback and culinary trends.
* Cooking and Presentation: Prepare, cook, and present a diverse array of dishes according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct daily quality checks on ingredients, ensuring freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
* Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Head Chef, assisting in ordering ingredients to ensure cost control and minimize wastage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Minimum 3-4 years of professional kitchen experience is required.
* Previous sous chef or supervisory kitchen experience is mandatory.
* Essential experience in Modern Australian cuisine is essential.
* Australian work rights are required.
