We are seeking a temporary, flexible full-time Court Liaison Officer (CLO) to work with Child Safety Service Centres, Youth Justice Service Centres, and other stakeholders to facilitate case work and planning for dual clients under the Youth Justice Act 1992.
The role is based within Statewide Operations, reporting to a Senior Court Liaison Officer, Court Services. Some intrastate travel will be required.

Mandatory Requirements
You must possess a "C" class driver's licence to undertake travel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and collate relevant child protection information, attend Court, and advise on child safety interventions and available support services for young people under the Youth Justice Act 1992.
Act as the primary contact for sharing child protection information with stakeholders including Courts, legal representatives, police, and community organizations.
Participate in rostered service delivery for Saturday and public holiday court appearances.
Support young people before, during, and after Court events to promote understanding of court processes among young people, child safety staff, carers, and stakeholders.
Maintain detailed case records and ensure high-quality data systems for court tracking and trend analysis.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide casework services as negotiated with child safety officers, including interstate authorities.
Delegations
The position holds a statutory delegation under section 13 of the Child Protection Act 1999, with guardianship responsibilities, and is authorized to attend court to share information about child safety interventions and available support services.
Role Specific/Technical Skills
Awareness of the impacts of philosophies, policies, and practices on child protection in Queensland, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
Experience working with young people, providing integrated responses to clients under child safety and youth justice interventions, and collaborating with stakeholders in court settings.
