What is our Clinical Nurse role?
As part of the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), Clinical Nurse practises under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart. This role provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. In addition, Clinical Nurse upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity, and acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition and collaboration.
