You will establish enduring productive partnerships with community housing organisations, government agencies, the community, the public and non-government sectors, and the ongoing professional development and management of staff.
**You will do this by**:
- Leading and managing staff, physical and financial resources in accordance with the department's service delivery framework including relevant legislation, strategic objectives, policies and contemporary best practice standards.
- Allocating, prioritising and performing work tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory, financial and administrative delegations.
- Providing leadership and management in the delivery of high-quality housing and homelessness services including the development of appropriate service responses to meet the identified needs of customers.
- Actively participating in and, where appropriate, leading local area forums with government and non-government stakeholders, promoting a positive and accountable public image and the development of productive partnerships to support service delivery outcomes by:
- providing local support and encouragement of tenant participation.
- working with Members of Parliament and local Councils.
- collaborating with community housing organisations and other government agencies to achieve integrated housing and homelessness responses at the local and regional level; and
- developing and maintaining relationships within the department, with other departments and community-based service providers to ensure the area office is well positioned to deliver departmental outcomes.
- Developing enduring service delivery partnerships to enhance cross-sectoral participation, learning and development, and the delivery and co-ordination of local housing and homelessness services.
- Fostering a culture and philosophy of frontline service delivery, cooperation, teamwork, high quality people management, commitment to excellence and a professional ethic which ensures the Housing Service Centre and Service Delivery continues to meet Service Delivery and the department's priorities.
- Actively leading and participating in quality assurance and other reviews of the Housing Service Centre.
- Providing advice to regional management and key government stakeholders on a range of issues impacting on housing and homelessness services outcomes.
- Providing proactive high-level support, advice and information to Service Delivery leaders in relation to the development of service delivery and improvement strategies, staff training and support strategies and performance agreements.
- Leading and ensuring you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
