Teacher with librarian duties
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Teacher‐Librarian who is also qualified to teach PE, Science, Humanities, or IT. The ideal candidate will be an engaging classroom practitioner with strong communication skills and a love for fostering inquiry, research, and independent learning.
Your role will be split between:
* Library responsibilities – developing and managing library resources, supporting information literacy, collaborating with teaching staff, and promoting reading for pleasure.
* Teaching responsibilities – delivering engaging, curriculum‐aligned lessons in your specialist subject.
Teacher with librarian duties, selection criteria
* Current VIT registration (or ability to obtain)
* Degree‐qualified in Education and/or Librarianship (preferred dual qualification)
* Teaching experience in at least one of the following: PE, Science, Humanities, or IT
* A strong understanding of contemporary school library services and digital resource platforms
* Ability to promote research skills and digital literacy across year levels
* Excellent communication, organisation and ICT skills
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school life
