The Role
In this position, you will be the face of Ballarat Bolts & Fasteners, assisting our trade clients and walk-in customers with expert advice and efficient service. Your day-to-day will include:
* Providing technical advice on fasteners, industrial supplies, and hardware.
* Processing sales orders through our SapphireOne system (training provided).
* Managing customer inquiries over the phone and at the counter.
* Building and maintaining relationships with local trades and businesses.
* Assisting with inventory management and ensuring our customers get exactly what they need, when they need it.
About You
We are looking for someone who speaks the language of the trade. You might be a qualified tradie looking for a career change that’s easier on the body, or a retail professional with a heavy interest in industrial hardware.
* Practical Experience: You have a solid understanding of tools, fasteners, industrial hardware and how they are used in the real world.
* Communication: You’re a \"people person\" who can talk comfortably with everyone from site managers to home handymen.
* Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computer systems for point-of-sale and inventory.
* Local Pride: You’re reliable, punctual, and keen to support a local Ballarat business.
