**Introduction**:
About the role

As an integral member of the Operational Leaders Team, the Program Manager Aged Care Clinical Services will lead a team of professionals to achieve our organisations Vision, Purpose and Strategic Goals. The Program Manager Aged Care Clinical Services will develop, lead and manage the delivery of person-centred services to participants within the Aged Care Services Programs at Capital Region Community Services (CRCS). The role will focus on care and support services and clinical governance to ensure Aged Care Quality standards are met and maintained within the following program offerings:

- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) (excluding Transport)
- Home Care Packages (HCP)
- Aged Care Fee For Services

**Description**:
**The key responsibilities of this role include**:

- Providing supervision and direction to the Case Workers and Home Support Workers to ensure that work is of a high standard, meets participants needs and is undertaken in line with the Aged Care Code of Conduct.
- Collating, analysing and reporting monthly on the Aged Care Services program statistics and KPI action plans as relevant to this role.
- Leading and maintaining knowledge and expertise in areas that effect the portfolio area such as:

- significant reforms,
- law, regulations, and Australian standards,
- any other matter that may have an impact on quality or compliance, and
- provide ongoing and strategic advice to the DCEO/CEO to ensure that CRCS is well placed to respond to opportunities and challenges.
- Develop and maintain key government and stakeholder relationships to ensure that CRCS's reputation and brand is well known, respected and trusted to deliver results.
- Leading and championing compliance, quality and safety with close monitoring and oversight of the programs and services to ensure compliance with external and organisational requirements.
- Ensure that internal collaboration is fostered and developed and actively pursue opportunities for employees to participate and engage.
- Proactively identify system and technology improvements and take a problem-solving approach to gaps and challenges.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Mandatory tertiary qualifications in Nursing and AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled / Registered nurse.
- Must have a current WWVP Clearance, Working with Children Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Knowledge and experience of community-based care and support services
- Highly developed assessment skills and the ability to creatively problem solve complex care situations
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and the aged care reform agenda
- Where applicable completion of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Notification Form
- Holds a current Driver's Licence and have access to a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes

**CRCS also requires all employees to**:

- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.
