Position
Position: Technical Sales Manager - Northern Region
Responsible to: National Sales Manager
Location: Brisbane office
Objectives: To profitably market and technically support the company’s products.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the sales and technical support process of the companies control solutions within the assigned sales territory being QLD/NT/WA.
include;
1 The successful selling of existing and new products in accordance with budgets and the companies objectives.
2 Maintaining regular sales / technical support calls to existing customers and users of our solutions (such as HVAC/R contractors).
3 Understand customer’s / users technical solution requirements, and to offer the appropriate engineered offer from the CAREL portfolio.
4 To provide post sales technical support when problems arise. This is acting as a local member of the technical support team.
5 Locate and establish new users for the company’s products.
6 Maintain up to date files and reports on all customers.
7 Use the company’s CRM as per guidelines for the deployment of the sales strategy.
8 The supply of regular detailed reports detailing;
- weekly expense reports
- monthly activity reports highlighting competition activity, new products, quotations submitted of significance, market trends and possibilities.
- Market research as required from time to time.
9 Maintain and present at all times personal standards and integrity which reflects favorably upon the company.
10 To assist in the organisation of product forums and exhibitions.
11 To maintain a good product knowledge on the company’s products.
Other Duties:
To assist in the planning and implementation of the marketing and sales of the company’s products and it’s abilities.
Implement fundamental directives of the Managing Director or National Sales Manager.
As may be required from time to time, additional responsibilities and duties may be imposed on this position to support the company in other areas.
Authorised to:
Incur travel and vehicle expenditure in accordance with Company budgets and policies.
Offer for sale products and services in accordance with company pricing and general policies.
Requirements
• Technical knowledge – Refrigeration knowledge highly valued
• Multi- level customer relations management skills / experience
• Industry sales / technical experience for 10+ years within the HVAC&R field
• Sales and commercial experience at a minimum account level.
• Sales & brand promotion skills – including exhibitions, seminars and presentations.
· Business acumen including basic financial awareness, commercial sales processes and essential business tools as example MS Office™
· Self-managing, performance driven and ability to “close the sale”
