Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Biomedical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of technical tasks, from routine to complex, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The role involves providing technical expertise and advice to peers, managers, and clinical teams to ensure a consistently high standard of service and safety. This includes troubleshooting complex technical problems regarding biomedical equipment and medical gas delivery equipment, such as ventilators, anaesthetic machines, patient monitors, defibrillators, analgesic devices, infusion pumps, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. A valid Queensland Driver's Licence is also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a diverse range of technical tasks, from routine to complex, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Provide technical expertise and advice to peers, managers, and clinical teams to ensure a consistently high standard of service and safety.
* Troubleshoot complex technical problems regarding biomedical equipment and medical gas delivery equipment.
* Install, configure, and support networked medical equipment, contributing to the ongoing advancement of Mater's medical technology systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The following qualifications and skills are essential for this role:
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant ELECTRONICS or BIOMEDICAL discipline.
* Experience diagnosing and repairing complex biomedical equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
