Job Title: Community Engagement Support Worker

Abilifly Support Service is a registered NDIS provider that specialises in providing in-home and community support to people with a disability, children, teenagers and young adults. Abilifly is currently looking for Community Engagement Support Workers in the Perth region to join our team.
Role Responsibilities
We are seeking people who are physically fit, active, energetic, enthusiastic, and professional individuals with solid experience in the community and/or disability sector to join our team in Joondalup on a casual basis. Reporting to the Service Delivery Officer/Manager, you will support participants to reach their individual goals through meaningful and fun activities in their home and out in the community.
* Be respectful and communicate well with family members of those you work with, working in participants' family homes.
* Think on your feet and adapt to different situations and participants.
* Support the people we care for to grow their skills base and abilities to perform tasks to help live a meaningful and good life.
* Support to develop and maintain independence and safety – through personal care and hygiene, health and wellbeing, meal preparation or supporting them to access the community and activities.
* Implement Behaviour Support Plans, where required, aimed at supporting the individual who demonstrates challenging behaviours to achieve their goals.
* Implement routines and structures set out by Allied Health Teams.
* Work morning, afternoon and active overnight shifts depending on participant needs, including some weekend and public holiday shifts.
Essential Criteria
* Physically fit and active.
* Ability to develop a positive relationship with participants.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work with children with disabilities.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
* Ability to acquire NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Ability to acquire a Working With Children's Check.
* Covid‑19 Vaccination Certificate.
* First Aid Certificate (desirable).
* Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability (or equivalent) – desirable but not mandatory.
