Our client is a premium food supplier for restaurants all around the world. Their brands have a long-established history where they have ensured their products meet the needs of the local food service industry, market and customers.
This is a newly created 12-month contract position, based in Melbourne's Southeast with flexible working from home arrangements (5 days per fortnight in office).
About the role
This 12 month contract role reports to the CFO and Head of Agriculture and willbusiness partner with the Agriculture team. Your role will focus on providing innovative solutions with out of the box thinking to analyse performance and provide recommendations through analysis and problem solving. You will provide accurate and timely insights that enable the team to improve areas of the agriculture process.
Responsibilities:
* Monthly reporting including forecasting and budgeting
* Perform moderate to complex cost analysis
* Improve efficiencies across the agriculture portfolio
* Provide ongoing business partnering to enable the Agriculture team to achieve financial and operational targets
* Play a key role in the month end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
* Develop and implement new processes and efficiencies
* Focus on financial analysis and financial modelling
* Provide financial support for productivity initiatives, including allocation, tracking and reporting
About you
* Degree in Finance and a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
* Minimum 3 years general business and financial experience
* Experience in agriculture, operations, manufacturing or related industry preferred but not essential
* Experience with financial modelling and analysis
* Continuous Improvement: experience identifying areas for continuous improvement and/or cost reductions and making recommendations for enhancement
* A-grade problem solver with a drive for improving efficiencies
* Costing analysis experience a must
