Programmed Maintenance Services – Hope Valley WA
We are seeking a trade assistant to join our client who specializes in steel production and distribution, located in Hope Valley, working on a day shift Monday to Thursday 5am to 1:30pm and Fridays finishing at 11:30am, this offers a pay rate of $35 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading).
Key responsibilities
* Assist machine operators on the workshop floor
* Perform manual handling tasks and clean steel parts
* Operate forklifts to transport steel plates
* Use hand tools including oxy cutters, tack welders, gas torches, disc grinders, and scrapers
* Mark parts with paint for identification
* Complete basic admin paperwork and QA checks
Successful candidates will have
* A valid Forklift License with hands-on experience
* Overhead crane experience (highly regarded)
* Prior experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry (preferred)
* A current Driver's License
* Full Australian working rights
