About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Admin to join our team at D E S Electrical & Solar in Devonport, Tasmania. In this full-time position, you will provide administrative support to our growing business, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our company.
What you'll be doing
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintaining and updating customer records and databases
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents
- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the team as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the office
- Duties include receiving deliveries, packing orders, and assisting with stock taking. A forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.
What we're looking for
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Simpro/Podium and other relevant software
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work tasks
- Previous experience in an administrative role or customer service environment would be an advantage
