About the role:
Police Communications Operators work within a team that is committed to providing high quality, client focused triple zero call taking and dispatch services across Queensland in response to community requests for assistance.
Your duties will include:
• Answer 000 emergency calls for service from the public in challenging situations
• Answer routine telephone requests for assistance from the public
• Accurately record important information from callers
• Identify and allocate resources to life threatening or significant situations
• Accurately relay information to operational police officers
Police Communications Operators are required to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays
About you:

• Great communications skills, effective listening, showing appropriate empathy
• Maintain calm resilient composure in stressful situations
• Demonstrate the highest standard of professional conduct
• Use software and equipment to quickly and accurately record and complete tasks under time pressure
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experienced in customer service, sales, call centre, reception duties and looking for a change that can make a difference in people's lives
